What was unique in NBA on May 7th?

08 May

In this game
O.J. Mayo had 2 steals, 2 blocks, 0 TOs and played more than 41 minutes AS A RESERVE. It happened only TWO times during last 25 RS –
Congratulations for Lionel Hollins for very unusal lineup which actually helped team win!

Serge Ibaka had 14 points, 6 blocks, 0 TOs and 5 fouls. It happened 19 times during last 25 RS –
A beast in the making. I’m pretty sure he will be staple of this column in the years to come…

Grizzlies had FG%<=38%, FT%<=69%, less than 10 TOs and they scored over 100 points. It happened only 3 times during last 25 RS –

Surprisingly Zach’s 21 and 21 was not so unique as you may think.
It happened 32 times in the playoffs –

In other game there were also gems:
Kevin Garnett had 28 points, 18 rebounds, 0 TOs and played less than 40 minutes. It happened only 7 times during last 25 RS –
He finally took advantage of his match-up and destroyed Bosh… which Celtics really needed in order to win. Will it happen again in this series? Because if not Boston will probably go home.

Mike Bibby had 0 points, 0 rebounds even though he attempted 5 shots and was a starter..
It was unique in terms of playoffs but it happens a lot during regular season.
