What was unique in NBA on May 6th?

07 May

Since I started analysing box scores regularly for FB in 2004 I was surprised how often unique stat-lines occurred and it’s a series designed to celebrate that fact. The rules are simple: it has to be something that never happened in the last 20 playoffs [over 1500 games] and less than 25 times during last 25 regular season games [there were over 55000]. Incidentally it’s a tribute to for great tools.

In this game:
Joakim Noah had 15 rebounds and 5 blocks but only 2 points. It happened only 7 times during last 25 RS –

Derrick Rose had 44 points, 7 assists, 4 threes and played less than 40 minutes. It happened only 8 times during last 25 RS –

Talking about supplementary roles… Almost like a great marriage ;-)

What’s more Josh Smith had 4 blocks, FT%=0,375 and 13 DRebs but 0 Offensive Rebounds. It happened only ONE time during last 25 RS –
